What we process and why

Visiting the website and server log files

When you visit the website, our hosting provider and our security and delivery provider automatically process technical data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website, keep it stable and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed for these purposes, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident. All connections to this website are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).

Contact form and email

When you contact us we process your name, email address, message, the services you select and, if you give it, your phone number, to reply and to discuss your project. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them when they are no longer needed or when you ask.

Job applications

If you apply through our careers page, we process your name, email address, the area you are interested in, any link you share, your message and the CV you upload, only to consider you for roles at Zowa Tech. Legal basis: steps prior to an employment relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for roles in Germany, § 26 BDSG). CVs are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. We delete applications six months after the recruitment decision, unless you agree that we keep them longer for future roles.

Cookies and analytics

We only set strictly necessary cookies by default. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you allow them in the cookie settings. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

Who processes data for us

  • Hostinger: hosting of this website and our email, where enquiries and applications are stored and delivered.
  • Cloudflare: delivery and protection of the website; processes technical data such as IP addresses to block attacks.
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): only if you consent to analytics cookies.

Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no data is sent to font providers.

International transfers

Our team works from Lahore, Pakistan, and some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your right to object

Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing (Art. 15–21 and 7(3) GDPR). To use these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority in the EU country where you live.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Do you have to provide data?

No. You can browse the website without giving us any personal data. Without your contact details we cannot answer an enquiry or consider an application.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
